Now hiring
Due to the needs of clients, all new employees will be required to see clients in person at our office in Salem, MA, at least one day per week, thus, this is a hybrid role.
Szafran Psychology Group (SPG) is looking for a licensed or license-eligible clinical psychologist with an interest in psychological testing to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an interest in performing evaluations as either a primary or secondary focus at the practice. At a minimum, clinicians would be expected to perform at least two evaluations per month (secondary focus) or one evaluation per week (primary focus). Candidates may also carry a caseload of therapy clients depending on interest.
SPG is a provider of neurodiversity affirming testing services, including neuropsychological and psychological evaluations for autism, ADHD, and learning differences for individuals across the lifespan. SPG strives to provide evaluations that are strengths-based, solution-oriented, and goal directed, so that clients have a clear plan of action with next steps to take in order to best serve their or their children’s needs.
As an insurance-based practice, clinicians will be mentored in streamlining the assessment and report writing process in order to be fully compensated for your time within the constraints of working with insurance companies. SPG uses a hybrid model for testing, which includes remote intake and feedback sessions and in person testing sessions at our office in Salem, MA. Clinicians will be required to see clients in person at least one day per week.
In order to reduce administrative burden, clinicians will be supported by a full-time intake coordinator/office manager for assistance with onboarding new testing clients, obtaining pre-authorizations with insurance companies, scheduling appointments, and distributing and collecting informant rating scales.
We are a practice that genuinely enjoy our work culture and contribute to it positively. SPG is committed to providing an evidence-based and collaborative approach to treatment in an environment that is affirming to disenfranchised or marginalized groups. We strive to meet clients where they are at by tailoring interventions to their unique neurotypes (brains), strengths and needs. This may include the use of structured treatments, such as CBT, DBT or ACT, or relationship-based approaches rooted in psychodynamic theory.
Providing a supportive work environment and work/life balance is important at SPG. Clinicians have the flexibility to set their own schedule/hours based on what works for their lives, including options for in person and virtual sessions. While clinicians will be expected to maintain an agreed upon caseload, caseloads are built gradually and match their clinical interests. Clinicians at SPG feel empowered to hone their clinical intuition and develop a treatment approach that is authentic to them and their personalities.
